BASICS - A review of basic concepts for solar electric systems. In addition, we will review system components and new products.

GRID-TIE - We will discuss grid-tie systems and the direction of utility interface with solar electric and RE systems in general.

OFF-GRID - We will discuss off-grid systems and their applications.

SIZING - System sizing will be covered with special attention to the Powderhorn system.

DESIGN - We will cover design issues including site logistics, equipment selection, equipment cost and the NEC. Again, special attention will be given to the Powderhorn system.

INSTALLATION - We will spend a number of days acquiring hands-on skills with the installation of two or three systems at the Ranch. We will address site selection, safety, system wiring and attention to detail, among others.

LIVELY DISCUSSION - An ongoing discussion of pertinent RE issues will be a highlight of this workshop. Q&A, horror stories, success stories, business tips, the state of the industry, etc. will be addressed before, during and after class!

NETWORKING - Another highlight! Meeting and working with like-minded people in the RE industry can lead to numerous opportunities.
